It's as powerful as Enzo, but its top speed is higher than that of Enzo, so Ferrari must greatly reduce its aerodynamic drag. Smaller size may make this possible...

It's dumbfounding that it took them so long to make the headway they have. BP you're really shown how your company is run. It is really hard to believe how a major cooperation like BP could be so incompetent. They have been doing this for over a 100 years! Companies like BP really have gotten too much of our trust for too long. Sad, very sad. The worst part of the whole situation is that is that so many people have had their livelihood pulled out from under their feet.

Nelson Jackson's experiences passing through eastern Oregon reminded me of the week in the fall of 2005 that der Frau and I moved back to this sleepy little village in the pine forests of southern Arkansas known in these parts as East Jesus.

I had trailered the Ferrari across from Tucson, and after we had settled in, I took it down to the Lake De Grey Bait, Tackle, Community Market, and Filling Station located at the only signal in town to "Fill 'er up," and meet the local townsfolk.

When I pulled in, I might as well been in a space ship that had just landed from Mars!
"Hey, Ethel! Come looky at this!" shouted one goober, dressed in the East Jesus uniform of the day, old torn, dirty bib-coveralls.

About a dozen locals crowded around, looking, touching, and asking all kinds of questions. "How fast does it go, How much did it cost, what is it, where was it made?"

I asked one of the girls if she was born 'around here?'

"Oh, no," she answered, "I was born in Hot Springs!" She beamed.

Hot Springs is no more than 20 miles north. I knew then that I was in for a long winter.

Even though I bought an old '86 GMC 1/2 ton pickup, a pair of bibbys, and took up chewin' Red Man, just to try to fit in, from that day forward, I'll always be known around East Jesus at that Queer from California that drives that faggot sports car.

So, eastern Oregon, 1903 . . . southern Arkansas, 2005. Little real difference.

Yer pal, Ferrari Bubba

Sounds like a great trip Mike!

Today is June 25. George Armstrong Custer died at Little Big Horn in the battle against the Sioux on June 25-26. I want to go to Sheridan WY and spend a day or two at Lodgepole MT where that action occurred. Maybe circle around by Deadwood/Mt. Rushmore on the way home. All those bikers must know something.

Horatio's Drive was a great story!

We just got back from a 2,4xx mile road trip to the CO Front Range via the wonderful roads of Nowhere, TX, and Really Nowhere, OK. It was wonderful! No cell coverage - imagine that! (Well, if you have AT&T, you don't have to imagine very hard.) Wide open roads, practically no other travelers except for mile-long freight trains, a few transported-from-outer-space windmills, seas of grass... I'm ready to turn around & do it again.

BTW, we went up Pikes Peak last Friday (drove, of course), and on the road up the mountain I saw what I first thought was a Jaguar D-Type, but after looking at the car list for the vintage division for the climb this weekend, I think it was the 1958 Lister Roadster entry. At any rate, it was beautiful and a great anachronistic antidote to the boxy samemobiles on the road.
